The Milwaukee Area Teachers Scholarships (MATS) offers financial
assistance in the form of one-half tuition scholarships for three
credits per term.
Pays for one-half of a three-credit course, or
1.5 credits.
All graduate programs
Applicants must be employed as elementary or secondary teachers in either public or private school systems in the Milwaukee area. Applicants may be non-degree and/or have less than full-time status to qualify for the Milwaukee Area Teachers Scholarship. Compton Fellows are ineligible for the MATS. Individuals working as teachers in the following 10 Wisconsin counties are eligible to apply: Dodge, Fond du Lac, Kenosha, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Sheboygan, Walworth, Washington, Waukesha.
