Rules and Guidelines for Graduate School Financial Aid: Assistantships

Below is the text contained in the Rules and Guidelines for Graduate School: Assistantships brochure. The brochure is enclosed with each scholarship offer made by the Graduate School. Revised June 2005.

This brochure describes the rules and guidelines that apply to your assistantship. Most assistantships are awarded for full academic years (the information in this brochure is described on that basis). The responsibilities and benefits of a partial award will vary according to the terms of the award. Appointment expectations such as work duties, hours, and starting dates, are communicated to assistants by their departments at the beginning of the award term. By accepting your award offer you agree to the rules and guidelines issued in this brochure.
