In collaboration with the adviser, the student must prepare an academic program plan that includes the following:
- Listing of previous graduate degree courses that are to be included in the 60 credit hour academic program of study.
- Listing of 30 post-master’s degree credit hours of study that encompass the interdisciplinary nature of the program. Among the 30 credit hours, there must be one course on research theory and design, and two courses on research methods unless such courses have been taken previously as part of the applicant’s graduate degree or reflected in other coursework. Within the 60 credit hours of graduate work at least one research course must focus on quantitative methods.
- Twelve hours of dissertation credit
